Why Gas Punks?

Honestly? We just liked the name.

But if you need it to mean something - here's the story we tell ourselves.

Gas, as in gas the engine. Floor it. Your pipeline is idling and we're about to put our foot down.

Punks, because we don't charge upfront, we don't do retainers, and we don't get paid unless you do. That's not how most agencies work. Frankly, it's a bit punk.

A name that means nothing and everything, depending on how much you've had to drink. We reactivate your dead leads, book your appointments, and take a cut when you close. The name's just the bit people remember.
How it started

Three people. One genuinely annoying observation

We'd spent years in and around sales and marketing and kept seeing the same thing. Businesses spending good money generating leads. Converting some. Writing off the rest. Moving on. Spending more money generating more leads. Rinse and repeat, forever, while a database full of people who once raised their hand sat gathering dust.

We found this annoying. The problem was that recovering those leads always cost more than it was worth - chasing cold contacts manually is slow, expensive, and doesn't scale. So businesses wrote them off and moved on.

Then AI changed the maths.

Intelligent conversation technology reached the point where it could contact hundreds of dormant leads simultaneously, hold natural qualifying conversations, and book appointments - at a fraction of the cost of doing it with people. Suddenly recovering old leads wasn't just possible, it was commercially viable.

So we built the system. Argued about the name for an embarrassingly long time. Settled on Gas Punks. The rest is this website.

Sam built the system. Nearly two decades building things on the internet - financial services background, coding and design in the DNA, commercial instinct sharpened over years of making things that actually generate revenue rather than just look like they might.

Kevin Mackay

Kevin keeps the engine running. He spent years in the web 2 era building profitable businesses in the financial space, then moved into driving B2B leads for exporters and importers — one of the more demanding commercial environments you can work in. Deals that depend on timing, relationships, and getting the right conversation in front of the right person at the right moment. No vanity metrics, no room for vague results. That mindset runs through everything Gas Punks does operationally.

Shannon Campbell

Shannon handles the conversations that need a different kind of credibility. Over a decade in high-ticket B2B SaaS sales - property management systems, CRM platforms, point of sale technology, hotel management software. She knows how tech-first businesses think, where their lead gaps are, and exactly what it takes to be taken seriously in that room. She was sceptical when we first pitched this to her. That's precisely why we called her.

A few things worth knowing

How we actually operate - including the parts most people don't say out loud

We only take on campaigns we believe in. If your database doesn't have real potential or your sales process isn't set up to convert, we'll tell you before we sign anything. Taking on a campaign we can't deliver for helps nobody - least of all us.

We're selective by design. We'd rather run ten campaigns well than fifty badly. When you partner with Gas Punks you're not joining a queue.

We share the risk. Every campaign represents a real investment on our side - technology, time, infrastructure - before you've paid a penny. That keeps us honest in a way a retainer model never would.

We're transparent about what we are. Our AI identifies itself when it needs to. Our contracts say what they say. Commercial terms are agreed upfront. No small print designed to catch you out later.

Now the part most people in this space won't say.

Not everything we touch turns to gold. Sometimes a database is older than it looked. Sometimes the market has moved. Sometimes leads that seemed warm are well and truly cold. We've had campaigns that didn't perform the way we hoped — and we'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

We don't guarantee outcomes. Nobody being straight with you will. What we do guarantee is honesty about what's happening, adjustments when something isn't working, and no quietly carrying on when results don't justify the partnership. If a campaign isn't performing and we can't fix it, we'll say so.

That's not a disclaimer. It's just how this should work.
The grown-up bit

We take data seriously - even if we don't take ourselves too seriously

We know the about page of a company called Gas Punks probably isn't where you expected to find a section on GDPR. But here we are.

Every campaign runs under a full UK GDPR-compliant data processing agreement. Your database is transferred via enterprise-grade encrypted file transfer, used only for your campaign, and deleted within 30 days of close — with written confirmation when it's done.

We're registered with the ICO. We operate under PECR for UK campaigns and TCPA standards for US ones. Consent is built into the campaign flow because it's legally required and because it's right.

The sectors we work in are compliance-conscious. We make that easy.
